Event Description

The Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us on 8 March for the International Women's Day Breakfast at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.  We have a rich tapestry of extraordinary women within our community that don’t seek the accolades or exposure, but have this incredible story or career on how they end up in their career, how they strive to inspire others and make this community a better world to live in.   The quiet achievers.  Our guest panellists’ careers reflect the amazing ways women are building professional pathways for themselves and others around them.

When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.  And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

Meet our guest panellists:

Kirsty Foster, Founder Social Mums Club Bayside

Social Mums Club is an online and in-person community of nearly 10,000 mums.  Kirsty founded Social Mums Club Bayside to improve the lives of mums by providing community and connection in an increasingly lonely world. Social Mums Club has positive, supportive (and FREE) communities in Bayside, Redlands and the Eastern Suburbs of Brisbane - where they aim to create connection magic opportunities for mums.

Jodz Beatty, Bayside Bar n Eats

Jodz has lived in the Bayside since in April 2016 after moving from Sydney and never looked back.  Jodz works for two local businesses (who happen to be owned by amazing women) Tyack Health and Mobile Healing Hands.  Bayside Bars n Eats came about when when Jodz realised there was no local Facebook page that recommended where to go and dine out.  So Jodz decided to create, promote and support all of our amazing local food venues! The rest is history and currently have close to 7,000 followers on Facebook.
